Where Your Story Takes Center Stage

A 1938 Art Deco cinema restored for modern love stories

History Meets Your Forever

Built in 1938 on Johnson Drive, The Mission Theatre was where our community gathered for decades—first dates in velvet seats, Saturday matinees with buttered popcorn, stories unfolding under that iconic marquee.

When we restored this treasure in 2017, we kept what made it magic: soaring ceilings, the original proscenium arch, crystal chandeliers catching light like champagne bubbles. Then we added what modern couples need—flawless sound, gallery lighting, spaces that flex for 50 guests or 250.

Just 10 minutes west of Country Club Plaza in the heart of Kansas City, we're not trying to be the biggest venue. We're here to be yours.
