  1. Pearls, pearls, pearls

For the first time in a long time, pearls are back in the trend cycle. More people are wearing pearls daily, so it makes sense that it would make its way to popular wedding jewelry. Many bridal magazines contain gorgeous pictures of brides that feature this beautiful, white gem. They are a great detail to accent whatever wedding dress you decide on. This could also be a fun way to incorporate something old or borrowed into your wedding details since so many grandmothers and older generations have some pearls in their jewelry boxes.

2. Non-traditional engagement rings

This is a trend we have been seeing for a couple of years that has no indication of disappearing in 2023 weddings. Many couples have moved away from diamond rings or bands. Now that there are so many options widely available, couples have been opting for more unique, customized rings with a variety of colors and cuts. Apart from different gems, couples have also distanced themselves from the traditional wedding band for the bride. While this used to be a widely accepted tradition, many couples don’t feel the second ring is necessary.

3. Neon signs

Neon signs have been an up-and-coming trend at the end of this year and couples love them so much, we think it’s a trend that will stick around for a while. There are a variety of places to have a custom neon sign made, but most couples find luck on Etsy. The most popular way couples utilize the neon sign is by hanging it above the bridal table with their names customized. Other couples make cute, decorative neon signs that stand before the aisle and lead guests to the location of the ceremony. There are a lot of ways to utilize this simple but sleek decoration!

4. Virtual Save the Dates

To save money and paper, couples have switched to virtual save the dates. While many couples have made this switch, they still usually opt for paper invitations. Save the dates are usually seen as the more casual, initial wedding announcement, while the invitations can be the more traditional, fun option. Virtual save the dates can make RSVPing easier as well for couples since many include a direct link to the wedding website where guests can RSVP!

5. More Intimate Weddings

For the past two years, largely because of the pandemic, we have seen couples wanting a more close and intimate wedding. Smaller guest lists seem to be staying in fashion for upcoming weddings in 2023. There are lots of pros to this transition! It can free up some room in the budget to get fancy catering or a more expensive photographer. More intimate weddings also help couples have a less stressful day, since the bride and groom act as hosts at their wedding.

No matter what 2023 wedding trends you choose to incorporate in your wedding, it will be beautiful! Just remind yourself that more than anything, your wedding should be a reflection of you and your partner. Don’t get too caught up in trying to stay with all the current trends, but it can be fun to incorporate a few you feel reflect your unique beauty and love on the big day!
