Bridal Accessories for All!

As you plan your big day, you will find that a wedding means choices, choices, and more choices. Not all the choices are exciting, sometimes it’s a matter of choosing between a cursive font or print font for the invitations. Other choices are more fun, like trying on and deciding which gown will be your wedding dress.

Along with wedding dresses, bridal shops have dozens of options to really make your bridal look personalized and unique. Below are some beautiful add-ons to consider when shopping for your perfect bridal look.

Wedding Veil

Wearing a veil is not a new trend, but they are still able to make a statement at your wedding. A veil is a perfect accessory if you are wanting a dramatic entrance down the aisle. It also can add interest to the bridal and couples' portraits. Don’t underestimate an extra element of texture in the photos you will cherish forever. But, with a veil, it is no longer a matter of just deciding veil or no veil. Now, there is an endless amount of options like color, fabric, design, and lengths. A veil can add as much interest as you want. You can keep it sweet and simple, keeping the fabric and color similar to the dress you choose. It can be longer than your train and intricately beaded with pearls. The options are vast, but the effect is beautiful!

Jewelry

Many brides choose to wear some kind of jewelry on their wedding day. This is another bridal accessory that can have a range of effects based on the desires of the bride. Small, gold pieces of jewelry have a classy, adoring effect in pictures and in person. Lengthy strung pearls can act as a statement piece that still feels bridal.

Hair Pieces

Hair pieces are also a common bridal accessory that adds an element of interest to your unique bridal look. This is a great option if you are deciding against a veil, but still want to decorate your styled hair. A hairpiece can blend into the traditional wedding feel or it can stand out by adding an element of color. Either way, a hairpiece can be the small but necessary detail you are looking for.

Gloves

Talk about a statement piece! Wedding gloves are a way to be stylish and dramatic if you are wanting to make a statement at your wedding. Wedding gloves can be long and satin or short and fishnet. If the gloves appeal to you, but you are unsure if this is really the look you want while walking down the aisle, bring a pair to throw on during your bridal portraits. Accessories can be easily used to stylize certain photos without having to commit to them for the full day.

Belt

Wedding dress belts are a simple but effective way to add more interest and shape to your dress. It’s a great way to emphasize your shape in the wedding gown if the dress does not already have the kind of structure or support you were initially looking for. It’s also just a great way to add more decor and detail to the wedding dress. If your dress is more lacey, but you want a small, sparkly detail, pick out a belt embroidered with crystals. If your dress is big with tool and sparkly, add a simple, satin belt to provide some textural contrast.
